My name is Katrina, I sold my property in Marsden. No, we weren’t really thinking about selling, we were more thinking about renovating. But going to the display home we thought, “We love this,” and that’s what prompted us to sell.
What I don’t like about real estate agents in general is how confusing the commission is structured. With Keny, she was very clear and said, ” What you will pay will be between this and this” so there was no uncertainty of commissions, that sort of stuff.
We had never sold a house before so we didn’t know what to expect, what commissions were involved. Keny was very upfront and said there was no advertising cost to us, it was all part of the commission that she would get, and told us it’ll be between this and this. So yeah, we were really happy with it and she was very upfront with everything. She said whatever offer is placed, she will then work on that to get it to, obviously, the best maximum that she can get. Yeah, she was very upfront with how she works.
It took only nine days to sell. Honestly, we were thinking it might take at least a couple of weeks, even up to a month, but nine days we’re so happy with. We had one open house, and we had five offers, There was quite a big difference. There was a low offer of $370,000 and then the offer of $395,000 came in. So pretty big price difference. If we used another agent, I don’t think we would get the same result.
We got more than we thought we were gonna get. We were thinking maybe around the $370,000 was the price that we would get. Yeah, that extra money is definitely going to help toward a new build. Get all the little luxury things that we didn’t think we would be able to get, we can now upgrade to our new house.
